Wider besseres Wissen und gegen unser Bauchgefuhl glauben wir, dass insbesondere Fuhrungskrafte in wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Institutionen wohl abgewogene und rationale Entscheidungen treffen. Lediglich in Krisen und manchmal anlasslich von Skandalen drangt sich unsere E- sicht in den Vordergrund, dass Fuhrungshandeln und Entscheidungen von Fuhrun- kraften durchaus nicht nur einer rationalen, wohl abgewogenen Analyse folgen. Allzu oft werden solche Phanomene jedoch als irrational , zu emotional oder fehlerhaft bezeichnet. Denn unsere Gesellschaft, und mehr noch unsere Wirtschaft mit ihren Entscheidern , hangt scheinbar unverruckbar dem Heldenmodell des Managers und 1 Wirtschaftsfuhrers nach (Doppler 2009), der die notwendigen Entscheidungen schnell und konsequent zum richtigen Zeitpunkt durchsetzt. Ist das wirklich das Modell erfolgreicher Manager; ein Bild von Fuhrung, dem wir, trotz aller Enttauschungen, nacheifern sollten? Marc Schmidt stellt in dem vorliegenden Buch dieses positive Vorurteil in Frage.
