I missed most of H O Connor's music of this era, never saw the film, but had heard 'Will You' which I loved.Recently I saw Hazel perform in concert. She was great, very approachable, down to earth offstage, and although she has lost some of her vocal range, she still performs all of her songs with great style.I bought this CD on the strength of seeing her Live, and I like it.....a lot.It has held up better than some of the music of other performers of the time and I think that is due to her strong well written songs, distinctive voice and her passion for her art. There are few artists today that can stand up on stage with just themselves and their songs and make an impact..Hazel is one because she has real talent, this shines through on stage and certainly on this recording.Loved it.
the cd is a very good recording and the music is good to sing along with ,as I have seen the film and I recommend the cd .

Good album and songs that I had forgotten about. Will You? is a great song. One of the best sax solos ever.

Hazel O'Connor is perhaps one the most under-mentioned people of the early "alternative" genera of music. The songs on this album are all very emotionally / politically / and socially, charged and were among the first of this kind anywhere... Everything about this work is brilliant for it's time and place...
