My quilt guild was shown a beautiful quilt made using this technique. I am a unrepentent stasher and loved the idea of using some of my not so wise or sure what to use them for fabrics. 1.5 to 6.75 yards is required depending on the repeat and the size of the finished item (wall hanging to Queen Quilt). It has pretty straight forward instructions and lots of great color photos. I look forward to trying a wall hanging to make sure of my technique. This produces some surprising beautiful and unexpected results.
This book offers some exciting ways to use fabric to give it a kaleidiscope effect. The patterns are easy to use with great directions. I have two mirrors aprox. 6" sq. that I tape together, and then I open them up about 4in" and move it around on busy fabric to see what designs I might be getting with that fabric. I have done several quilts using this book, and I have bought several other books for other friends wanting to try it.
This quilting book was fun to use. There were a variety of ways to cut fabric to make unique patterns. It was as simple or challenging as you wanted it to be.

I like to buy my quilt books used and in good shape. This fit the bill and really interesting.
