I have been playing with a set of pingeye 2 irons for a long time. My 4 handicap was descent for a someone who plays twice a week but I wanted to see if technology could lower my score. So I purchased a set of Callaway razr forged irons 6.0 steel shafts, razr fit driver "stiff" and 3 wood "stiff" plus a hybrid 3 and much to my suprize my game has improved. The irons have the "C" grooves and really holds on the green if hit properly you can even spin the ball. I would recommend these clubs to anyone who is a good ball striker they aren't so forgiving with off center shots but they are pro clubs. Why did I choose Callaway one of golfing partners has a set and I tried the club once and knew it was the right one for me. If you try the clubs also get a dozen Callaway Hex Black golf balls and really attack the flags. "Scratch golfer"Read full review
This is a good-looking, effective set of sticks. Incredibly accurate, slightly heavy, effortlessly finds the hitting slot, and works well with the projectX shaft to produce a penetrating medium-high ball flight. The RazrX will stop fast without the use of an excessively high spin rate, and hides its cavity well. I have not hit the new apex or the 2013 callaway player's cavity (I have handled both sets), but this club looks and feels more like a gamer's club...smaller cavity, not as bulky or "technology-driven," of a head, and a narrower sole. The graduated cavity also allows the player to slightly favor the toe side of the face, maximizing control without losing pop. I freakin' love nearly everything about these clubs and believe they best suit a single digit golfer with a high golf I.Q....just to fully appreciate what an amazing club this really is. An average or good golfer won't have any problems with the forged RazrX either, but it demands the respect of a shotmaker, willing to satisfy its' thirst for impossible pins. Only negatives: top line could be a tad thinner, and I have some concerns about the soft face wearing a little faster than a cheaper, or firmer metal.Read full review
After playing with MizunoMP14's for 30 years it was time for a change. I still wanted the "feel" of a forged iron and the playability as well. In addition I wanted a bit more forgiveness. After receiving these irons (with Project X 5.5 shafts) I had the pleasure of playing several 9 hole rounds with them. I can tell you that I don't miss the MP14's and love the look, feel, accuracy, and action that I get from these irons. I'm no longer a low single digit handicap golfer but feel like I can get there with these irons...
I've hit quite a few golf balls over the years but I only started playing on a weekly basis about 3 years ago and began to take my golf game a little more serious. I purchased these clubs to start a transformation from game improvement Iron's (Callaway FT- I brids) to a more traditional blade Iron. I've been playing my I-brids for about 3 seasons and felt that my game had improved enough for me to switch to forged Iron's. I wish I switched earlier then I have, these clubs feel comfortable in my hands right from the start. I now have more control over my shots, the blades cuts through the grass like a hot knife and butter, the balls have a much higher flight and a softer drop which is what is helping me with my control. Contact on the ball is much softer and so smooth compared to my old shovels. These have actually been a game improvement club for me more so then the I-Brids. So far the Callaway RAZR X Forged Irons have been a blessing for my game.Read full review

One of the best set of irons I have owned. I don't think you can go wrong with these clubs, especially if you are a single digit handicap golfer. I have had Callaway irons with 6.0, 5.5, and uniflex shafts. The Razr X irons I purchased have Project X shafts, 5.5 flex and my experience with these irons has convinced me that I made the right choice. The spin action is more than I expected and I am hitting the ball closer to the hole on most approach shots.
