I'm not a player that gets new equipment and has to have the latest and greatest every time someone comes out with something new. Having said that, I played a set of Ping ISI irons for 12 years until 2006 when i bought new Titleist 735 CM's. My plan was to play those for 12 years and then replace them. 7 years ago I was a 7-8 handicap, and the Titleist's were great - i'm not a 3 handicap. I replaced them because i've read a lot about these Taylormade clubs and i got such a ridiculous deal on them on eBay, that I COULDN'T pass them up. After hitting these clubs a couple of times on the range, i have no doubt that the reviews are true. These clubs seemed to feel good no matter where on the face you hit the ball. The speed slot feels amazing on the longer irons. good spin off the club face, and overall a great look at address. I'd recommend these clubs to a lower handicap player, who wants something fresh and with updated technology - but doesnt want to spend $800-$1000 for new sticks.Read full review
I purchased the TaylorMade Rocket Bladez for a Christmas gift for my son. The clubs came with KBS tour stiiff shafts. The heads are the tour model (a bit smaller and a bit less forgiving than the standard heads) and designed for the mid to lower handicappers. As for the KBS shafts, for me those are much too stiff (seems my swing speed is not what it use to be) but for my son whose 19 and fairly athletic swing speed is not an issue (ugh... to be 19 again!). We had a chance to get in a couple of rounds and the clubs seem to be a great fit. The ball jumps off the club face (when struck well) and the mis-hits don,t seem to be to bad. His previous set of Irons were the TaylorMade R7s which seemed to be a little more forgiving. The biggest difference i see with these clubs is in the shorter irons, adding about 10 yds more. The longer irons seem to be about the same. In a nutshell a very nice set of clubs that should last my son a few good years or until he's finished with school, gets employment and can afford a new set of clubs....Read full review
Near hybrid construction enhances playability in longer irons. Not much feel from a squarely struck shot. Feedback is visual. You see straight shots that still go a long way when struck off center. Ball is more easily airborne and more frequently near the correct distance. Shots struck low on the face with sweeping motion stay in the air a long time. I like them, handicap is 17.7 currently and going down.

I'm by no means an exceptional player. I was able to get my hands on the Taylormade Rocketbladez 4-PW and my game is significantly improving. I was hitting graphite shaft Wilsons. I will never go back to graphite. The difference is unreal!
