I bought this book for calculus 3. I like the fact that the book is skinny compared to my other calculus book, but this is only half of what's learned in calculus (this book starts on chapter 8). Like all math books, it is hard to read it and not fall asleep. I do like the fact that the problems matches the examples so it's not hard to go back and review while doing homework. That is the only plus that I noticed over my other calculus book. The homework problems aren't that bad. I suggest getting a solutions manual with it as it will help somewhat to understand how to do the homework. Just be aware that the solutions manual will only have the odds and if you do find one with the even problems in it also, be prepared to pay big bucks for it.
ordered wrong book so i don't know how it is. I did use the single variable version and it is very good. Author lays the info out usually a lot better than your teacher will.
I ordered Multivariable Calculus by James Stewart. This isn't the best text book for Calculus. I recommend ordering the solutions manual also. It really helps to do the problems at the end of the chapter, but they are hard to do without the solutions manual.
As expected

This is a great introduction to multivariable calculus with many helpful examples in each chapter. It offers an in-depth look into many different subjects within multivariable calculus while devoting more than adequate time to each.
