Author Biography
Bret Burquest spent a couple of decades as a computer programmer, systems analyst and general manager of a computer software company, in Minneapolis and Los Angeles. At age 42, he abandoned the corporate world and became a gold prospector (desert rat), independent computer contractor, mountaintop hippie, novelist, wandering adventurer, college instructor, reclusive hermit, newspaper columnist, professional self-survivor. He now lives in the Ozark Mountains with a dog named Buddy Lee and occasionally talks to trees.
