    $330 winch saved many $50,000 cars on the OTT.

    Wanted a Domin8r but none available at the time of purchase so opted for the X-Bull. Just completed the OTT (old telegraph track) and now very happy not to have a Domin8r. The X-bull winched all day at Palm river crossing, without overheating, didn't miss a beat pulling cars with trailers attached, friends had a domin8r winch which failed to work, found the brushes had seized not touching the commutator, a quick hit with a hammer had the winch working again, but another issue with the Dominator is the plug in RF receiver, seems very flimsy, where as the X-Bull is integrated into the control. The X-bull gets 9.5 out of 10, losing 0.5 due to no isolation switch, as the winch did start and stop for not reason a few times, but then again it was under water for most of the day.

    X Bull 12 12000lb / 5454 klgs winch

    The winch is great. heavy to lift into place but that is expected. Tip when installing winch. When placing nuts into there slots in base use match stick to hold nuts in place while installing winch. If you do not the nuts fall out as you are lifting winch into place. Very easy to install. Cables are gener ous length. I mounted control box in front of my grill. Very easy to install.

    well worth it

    the pre drilled mount holes on the hilux roo bar matched the mount pattern of the winch so bolting on was easy. wiring was simple and easy to follow. having a hand held remote control is an advantage as well

    Perfect winch for all off roading adventures. Has pulled me out of many difficult situations where my difflocks failed to get traction. Has 2 wireless remotes which is good for working from inside the vehicle and also one for the outside.
