Fantastic little machine for a very reasonable price. Instructions are useless, so a bit of mechanical know how is an advantage. Basically, the large cable comes in 4 x 5m sections (we disconnected each section and fed 1 at a time, rejoining as we went) which are fed through the machine before cutter is attached and then fed down the drain until resistance is felt. Turn switch to right to turn machine on, then push down on handle to rotate cable, release when no more cable, pull through about 300mm more cable and push down on handle whilst feeding cable into drain pipe. It is a slow process, but it works. DO NOT force the cable into pipe, it will slowly cut through resistance or feed easily when no resistance is felt. After we had fed all 20m of cable into drain, we disconnected from machine and slowly pulled cable out of pipe, washing with hose as we pulled. The blockage was pulled gently along until it moved freely and wash forced into tank by backed up water. (not sure if this was how it was supposed to work, but it freed the blockage). For verification, we did this twice as I was unsure if the cutter was big enough to open the blockage permanently (a 50/75mm cutter would have been nice to have for the 100mm pipe). Remember that this is not a fast task, just take your time and let the machine do the work so as not to destroy the cable, cutter or the machine.Read full review

This product is only for light unblock drain ..I did not know I bought it wrong......my drain need more power to unblock .......In the other way I have to use the power drill and a connector with the metal coil in a package only cost 40 dollars......it does a better job than this 500 watt motor which is weak .......Beware i buyer if you use a power drill and the metal coil eel pack is way better power control .......and cost less....

This little machine almost paid for itself with its first use. 16mm coil (about half the size of larger commercial units) is just perfect for those smaller drains (100mm). There were no instructions with it, but pretty simple to work out how to operate - just feed the spring through the unit, turn on and engage the clutch as needed. Forward/reverse by means of switch.

Cheaply made and unlikely to last very long. Cutting tools are very small and would not clear a blockage in a larger pipe. Cutting tools are difficult to attach. If the job is a one-off suggest you hire a full size machine.

This is a good machine, which I thoroughly recommend. It does not come with a manual, but you can download one here: www dot manualslib dot com/products/Dali-Gq-75-10834356.html. You have to be careful to oil the machine before each day's use and for one of the tips only turn in one direction - otherwise the retaining nut will come loose, and you'll lose it in the drain.
