Punchdown tool poor quality, everything else ok. Could have been packaged better. Came in a barely fitting plastic bag. Would have preferred a case of some sort. However, the tools are all functional and I was immediately able to make some cat5 network cables with it.

A decent little kit, which would be terrific for starting off building a tool kit for small network installations, except the crimper is hopeless. I bought several sets and two of the crimpers failed within a few uses. The die has too much free movement in the tool and pins 7 and 8 fail to close properly resulting in a failed connection. I haven't tried the other three sets. The lan tester does it's job and is easy to use. The strippers seem fine and I haven't tried the krone tool.

The crimping tool does not work well, the RJ45 unit moves in the jaws and crimps poorly. The other things in the kit are fine and so overall the value is good. I have since purchased a crimper tool from a retailer for $40 and it works v well.

You get what you pay for. I said it is good quality as it is new. It is not high quality but it is cheap and will do the around the house jobs.

Cable crimper is only good for light jobs, Not tough enough, but get your household job done. But value for money if you are doing a household job for yourself. Not suitable for commercial use.
