I have bought two of the same 4 in 1 testers during the past 12 months and both do not accurately indicate the moisture in the soil. I purchased a second one because I wanted to see if a new one would work properly. Both show DRY as the default indicator and when the tester is inserted into wet soil it stays on this indicator, even if I have saturated the soil. Only on one occasion did I see the indicator change to NOR for a brief moment, but otherwise it remains on dry even it is soaked. This is not a useful tester to buy, especially for the cost which was nearly $30!

At first it wasn't reading the moisture accurately. I then took the white plastic piece off the probe. Since then it hasn't failed. I think the plastic cover is too thick for it. The display is bright and the reading easily read. Most people wouldn't need their glasses! Good for the amateur indoor pot enthusiast (like me) who doesn't want to kill their plants by too much/not enough love.

The unit appears to be fairly robust. The display is fantastic and responds to measurements very quickly. The price is great and compared to the older style unit I have at home, this unit ticks all the boxes for functionality, response times and value for money.

Broke on first use, stuck it into sandy soil, went to pull it out and it completely fell apart.. Also gave me a reading of 3.5ph.. If my soil was that acidic my garden would be struggling if not dead.. Its flourishing.. Faulty item of poor quality
