Losi has always been a name we all recognize as a leader in serious R/C cars and trucks. TLR (team Losi racing) really tool the 1/10th scale electric buggy to new heights when the 22 was released . The 22 hit the track after a lot of talk and anticipation ...and it did not disappoint ...if you were a pro level driver , often times the only thing you saw was the tail end of the 22 as you watched it pull away and leave you covered in dirt and dust ... I mean the team TLR guys just owned the track ...now we can get into all the things that make a 22...well a 22, shocks , metal chassis , gull wing swing arms ..but it has to be owned and driven to be appreciated ! is it the BEST? ..if it is not it is standing firmly on the same ground . the 22 and 22 2.0 are two buggies that I own and they see as much action as my associated B4.2 & B5. If I had two choose just one it would be a TLR buggy ..with pink rear and orange or red front springs it just does everything you want it to and nothing you don't, steering rack ( yes it has a slide rack type steering) is beyond smooth and predictable as is steering in and out of the corners . power on , out of the turns are planted and just feel more locked in with the 22 over the B5 . It jumps are a thing of beauty with mod or rear motor config , with the rear being my top pick..may ne because that is what I was use to for thre decades , starting with the Associated gold pan RC10. let me make one thing crystal clear ...I am not bashing the B5 ...I own one amd always will have AE buggies in the stable ..the B5 is a serious...VERY SERIOUS contender and if you drive anything else up against a well dialed in B5 , driven by a good driver ..your in for a real test of man and chosen machine. I have spent countless with the 22 and 22 2.0 as well as the B5 and the 22's just have an edge I cant put my finger on . all the components that make up the shocks are a BIG part , as well as the unique chassis..actually reminds many of us of the old Associated gold pan RC10 days ! the suspension arms , steering geometry ..just all boils down to a buggy you have to try..at least 4-5 packs ,,run one if you get the chance and you will not be disappointed . is it worth the price ? If you are a street basher or just not into serious racing ..no ! there are less expensive options that have a very high fun factor for a lot less $$$. but if you are serious about racing or just want to own the best ,,you need to take a good look at the TLR 22 22.0 and the latest version .Read full review
